The Santa Crawl welcomes BRGR

“Who?” you ask?

If you haven’t been following the State College gastronomical scene, you might not be aware of one of the borough’s latest eateries. BRGR, a burger and shake restaurant, opened in the old Citizen’s Bank Building at 122 W. College Ave back in September.

BRGR is a Pittsburgh based chain specializing in hamburger and milk shakes. Early indications are they are going to be wildly successful with both the student and young adult population here in Central PA. The Centre Daily Times did a nice story on their opening a few months ago.

The BRGR burger includes dry aged prime beef, pickled red onions, arugula, creamy bleu cheese and roasted tomatoes at the newly opened BRGR on College Avenue in State College. Abby Drey ADREY@CENTREDAILY.COM

But in addition to their hamburgers, BRGR offers a nice selection of beers and alcoholic drinks (their spiked shakes are pretty darn good).

Their substantial sized bar area provides a perfect locale for a few Santas to gather and mingle during the Crawl, particularly if you wisely want to grab a bite to eat before or during the festivities.

I count ten seats at the bar in this pic courtesy of the CDT. Perfect for Santa, Rudolph, and the eight other reindeer. There are more seats on the other sides also.

A big thanks to BRGR for participating in our Santa Crawl fund-raising activities this year. Stop down and show them some holiday cheer.. For more info, check out their website
